froggiess  : I dont think the link works because im not in the facebook group :( I was thinking about driving to palmsdale but its about an hour drive. I had to put my 16 year old dog to sleep today because she ruptured a disc in her spine when we took her to get a dental. So I might go... would you be able to Pm me more information about it I might beable to convince a friend to go with me :D

Noseychickens : I think all of the breeders who breed lavenders are in norcal or out of state. :/   My friend has some but my lavender is from the same batch and I don't think its good to  inbreed...

I see Noseyhicken beat me to the answer. Could have sworn I saw mention of lavenders on that FB page.

I am so sorry to hear of your doggies passing, my heart goes out to you...:hugs

I am going to the meet-up and I probably live down the street from ya! I have a toyota tacoma and only have room for two and have a passenger already..[another chickenhead] ;).
It is 85 miles to Palmdale via the 14 >>>>>If you take Angeles Crest [2] you shave off about 15 miles. [used to date a fellow from there, so I know the route very well] :)
Hope to see you there!

P,S, myhappychicks has Lavender Orpingtons and I think they are in Riverside.

I only have 5 chickens :D! 2 cockerel Rhode Island and mystery <- for sure, lavender ameraucana and amberlink pullets <- hopefully and 1 laying hen thats a EE that lays PINK eggs -_- !

thankfully my yard isnt super big. I have a pool, lawn of grass and bunch of fruit trees they hide under and a patio area they sit and wait for me to bring food. So enough for them to play and not want even to try to get out?....I dont think I can have more than 6 chickens if I want to keep my lawn pretty and flowers alive. But i cant seem to find her eggs... prob in some bushes somewhere.. or just didnt lay any?

YER SIR, it don't take them gremlins long to turn your lawn into a lunar landscape if they have access to it 24/7....I gave up on the backyard, I covered the dirt with plastic fencing so they can't make craters and have a "black" lawn, [well the frncing is green] :P

You could always spray paint it green once a week.
