Boy are you in luck ! I live in a small town of just under 30K in the middle of nowhere just below Death Valley. The conformity police told me that no chickens are allowed in town. The folks at city hall told me no chickens, the man one block east of me has dozens of peacocks running wild. No one seems to care. But let one neighbor complain and the police will give you 24 hours to remove them. pooh I always regretted leaving San Diego. It is one livable town. Again lucky you and

Glad I live in Hesperia where I can have chickens (though I'd like to move to Pinon Hills where it is County and they could care less...their limit is something I won't reach).

BTW even though I am in town I do have 15 or so pullets. LOL And my soil is improving every year so when I finally move to a much larger spot I'll need to dig up a lot of plants and dirt to go with...........my chickens

oh good! I'd like to get 6 or 7 "chicken ladies" together for lunch and then maybe each of us could bring someone the next time. I'd love to network and find local sources for eggs etc.

I live in North County - very novice chicken owner - only 6 weeks into raising chickens, but would love to meet up with locals.

Also, I thought of a good idea when we meet up... Everyone can bring some sort of something or other to "trade" ex. squash for eggs, tomatoes for eggs... and of course we can't ALL bring eggs but it's a fun idea!

I wonder if we have to report our plan as your supposed to for chickenstock or if we can just make a new thread to plan a san diego meetup. I am going to read into it more when I get the chance. My computer screen keeps flickering on and off and it's hard to read and type things. If anyone else wants to get it rolling please do, otherwise I have to wait till this thing stops acting up.
