Ugh just my luck lol. I was like wow thats a good price for such a big incubator. I should have known lol

Dont write it off completely I know people who have used them. Pop over to the hatchalong thread. @Sally Sunshine will help you out.

What I do like about them is the ALL plastic bin for the eggs. You can get it clean with normal washing.

I went back and read what Phage said. about keeping the temperature... If it has styrofoam packing insulation I would leave it in that.... But if its cardboard You might just set it in a bigger box and fill around with packing peanuts.

You can get these on EBay for similar $$
I researched them and this is what I found:
They are made in China.
You need to calibrate the temperature before use so for eg when is running at 37.5c it may reads 40'c
Most importantly you need to use it in its packing Materials to keep the temperature constant as it looses heat very easily.

Sally runs the in I aging with friends too. She can teach you how to build your own bator using a Coleman cooler!!!

I figured id ask here first before anywhere else giving someone a chance. I know roosters are a dime a dozen. But i have a stunning rhode island red rooster if anyone wants him. I can drive him to you if your nearby. Or meet half way so about 2 hours or so away. Hes stunning. Also trying to find a home for my special needs chicken. His knees never formed properly so he waddles i offectionally named him charlie after my aunt as he reminds me of her when sbe was pregnant she waddled. If not ill have to take him to wes feed shop in el monte ive tsken roosters there before he finds them new homes and makes sure they wnt get eaten or put in fighting situations. Wish i could jeep them but so far i have one purposily bought rooster (cream leg bar) and one i want to get is a lavander buff orpington rooster. And i got some rare egyptian breed rooster when i got my 2 day old chicks from a hatchery. So currently without my lavander roo im up to 4 roos that in aware of. I HATE the thought of culling them. I know sometimes it needs to be done. Anyways this is charlie he waljs just find just waddles hes in no pain and has been known to protect his girls. Him and big red get along. Its just that i have introduced the egyptian one today and dont want him to get hurt. And i cant find the one of big red. Hes earned his name and has striking green shine on his feathers. This picture of charlie is from september so hes grown quite a bit.

Thanks for my regs. I read them and I know why no one will give me an answer.... if the birds are a nuisance I can't have them.... course that's not determined until after you have em. Then it says you can't have them within 50 feet of your house... I think I have about 10 feet on the side of my yard.. and then something about 10 feet from the fence line... that would put them back in my living room. I am gonna get a small coop with maybe 4 chickens, no rooster. If I get caught I'll take them up to Lake Isabella. It's amazing how they word things. I was watering my lawn with water I collected from my washing machine and the man tried to cite me for watering on an off day. He said NO watering on Wednesday regardless of where the water comes from... I argued with him and he finally left because he wasn't gonna win.

But I think I have to get everything set for chickens at Lake Isabella and then I can have a few here and then take em up there... mobile chickens!

Lol here in west covina they dont allow roosters either. But i figure if animal control wont show up for the agressive dogs next door then *insert middle finger* lmao. They show up ill tell them you deal with the unlicenced unfixed dogs next door and the huskey that howls All the time and the backyard breeders across the street THEN come talk to me about a harmless rooster. Pinky as for the nissance chicks. If you have a good repor with neighbors go talk to them. Ask if they mind. Tell them you will even share eggs with them. My neighbor two doors down didnt even know i had chickens until i gave her eggs.

My neighbor to the left is never home he could care less, my neighbor to the right would have me set up her coop, the neighbor behind me is elderly and can't come to look over the fence, my husband trims her trees for her... my problem is the lady next to her to my left. Her kids throw dirt clots into my pool and my dog ate her clawless cat, she might be my only glitch. I didn't know who's cat it was so I took the collar off, wrapped her in plastic and placed her in the fridge... when my husband found out he said I had to get rid of "IT" so I took it to get cremated. The lady gave me a discount since it wasn't my cat. The cat's ashes sat on my desk with the collar until she called about 2 months later. I had left the message with her ex. When I returned the cat, Chewy, she was mad that I had the can cremated as she wanted to break the rule and bury the cat in the yard. I think she just wanted to get out of paying even tho I never asked for money. She's just a bitter divorced B.... I think she'd be my only problem. I saw this cheap coop on amazon and thought WOW I wonder if anyone has had any luck with this brand.

Thats not a bad one. Im sure youd have to put it together tho. Im not sure 8 chickens would habe enough room in it tho. Some feed stores have them as well that coop would be good for bantams however. If your ok with mini eggs.

That coop would
