Hey guys! Anyone need some laying hens? I am selling some extras to make room/raise funds for a breed I really want =)

I have laying pullets available in Menifee!! I believe all of these are laying (except the Speckled Sussex), we are certainly getting enough eggs!! If not, maybe one or two are close behind. Please excuse the mess, we have wet weather today and my daughter has beensick all week.

Pullets $25ea, Roos $5. Free roo if you buy multiple pullets.

Australorp, Partridge Rock, & Cuckoo Marans are 1 year

Silver Laced Wyandottes(2 avail), Partridge Cochin, and Whiting True Blue cross(1 pullet fairly certain she is laying a blue egg, one roo avail) hatched September 2017.

Speckled Sussex (NOT yet laying) hatched November 2017 (2 pullets and 2 Roos avail)

Anyone here near Lake Arrowhead? I saw someone but the post was from years ago...I'm looking for fertile eggs to hatch but the chickens in our neighborhood haven't been laying much..I looked into ordering eggs but read that the altitude change of where laid and hatched could mess with hatchibility..we are right about 4500' level
Hi there!!!
I live up on the mountain :frow I do get fertile eggs from down the hill and have had good hatches. We just have to keep the humidity higher than down the hill because it is lower humidity up here. If you are putting them under a broody girl...then there may be an issue:rolleyes:

I am in the high desert above Palm Springs at about 2600'. I get eggs from all over the place and have never had an particular trouble with altitude difference whether using a broody or an incubator. I can supply you with eggs, some pure, most mixed, if you want to come get some. I have Leghorns, Exchequers, Legbars and some sexlinks made from these, plus others. Just send me a pm.

Hello,
My kindergarten class has hatched eggs for the past few years. I just saw where our eggs come from and I can't support that business. I was wondering if someone would be willing to lend my class 9-12 eggs. We have all the supplies to incubate, candle, and keep the young chicks warm. We would return them to you a week or 2 after they hatch. We are located in Newbury Park, California. If anyone reading this lives in the Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Calabasas, or Agoura Area and is able to help please let me know.
Thanks so much,
Erin Truesdale

If you use facebook, you should post this on the Conejo Valley Backyard Chickens and Homesteading page. In Simi, we can't have roosters, so I have no fertile eggs, but I know there are lots of folks in T.O. and surrounding areas that do have roos.

Good luck!
