Hi all, I am in Los Angeles and am looking for some bearded silkie hens that are really friendly. I am more interested in them as pets than as egg-layers so older hens or non-layers are fine so long as they are friendly and have good personalities. I'm willing to drive a ways, anyone have any leads? Thanks!

Thank you so much for the suggestion. Unfortunately,they seem to only have DNA sexed chicks and pullets and I'm looking for hens. But they are a possibility if I can't find what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Got it! I saw pullets and hens : ). You might consider putting an ad up on Craigslist in your area to see if anyone is rehoming their hens, although I'd always be wary of taking someone's chickens with Marek's so rampant in SoCal.

I have 3 chickens I need to be rehoused, all hens. I am in Tustin or you could also say near Irvine. The breeds are Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, and Easter Egger. Anyone nearby that want them?
