California-Southern

Hi all! A friend of my neighbor's needs to give up their flock, they have the following:
2 RIRs
2 Americanas
1 golden buff (That's what they call her I'm not sure if that's the actual breed.)
If anyone is interested please let me know and I'll give your contact info to my neighbor. I wish I could take the Americana's but we are at legal coop capacity in my area.

Hello Californians! I have a couple of ducks who are looking for a good, loving home: 3-4 female mallards, 2-3 female Indian runners, and 2 male mallards. They do not all need to go to the same home, but I would like them to go in at least groups of 2. All of the birds are ~ 1 year old and extremely friendly. I film birds as part of my job and I hand-raised these ducks from the day that they hatched, handling them almost every day, and they’ve become my babies… but I can’t keep all of them :(

In terms of a home, I am hoping to find someone in southern or central California, who can provide the following:

  • A pen that is safe from predators and that provides protection from the weather (i.e. too much sun, too cold, etc.)
  • Clean drinking and head-dunking water every day
  • Access to a little pool for bathing on a regular basis
  • Love! My ducks will eat out of your hand and they love people, and I really want them to go to someone who loves ducks and will give them treats, etc.
If you are interested or know someone who is, please email Ashley at [email protected] or text me at (559)786-1997.

Thank you!

Location: Los Angeles

Selling an Omlet Eglu Cube with attached 9' Run. And a 9'x24' (6'8" tall) Omlet Walk-In Run.

If you are not familiar with Omlet products look them up and even search reviews!
They are top of the line and low maintenance.

Ours is less than a year old. I'm moving out of state therefore selling for a fraction of the price. Everything was purchased less than a year ago for over $3k. Im selling for $1,800. Will include all the Omlet accessories worth over $400 (auto door, waterer, feeder, treat caddi, peck toy, weather protector, perch).

Must pick up. The run can be disassembled. I'm disassembling it on Jun 10 or you can come before and disassemble yourself. Not hard to do. I assembled the whole thing myself in 2 days.

Willing to separate and sell Eglu Coop and 9' attached Run for $600. And 9'x26' Walk-In Run for $1,200.

Hi SoCal tribe! We are moving to a home on horse property in Alta Loma or North Rancho Cucamonga. We want to start raising chickens (newbie here) and would be open to any suggestions, hand me down items for chickens a coop or chicks or anything. Please point me in the right direction to start reading up on everything there is to know but so glad I found this forum and my SoCal tribe 😊

To those in the San Diego region:

I ordered 4 female blue Swedish ducklings about 7 weeks ago from Metzer farms. When I brought them home from the post office, I was accidentally given 4 additional ducks. I ordered strictly females to appease the two, one year old, drakes I already have. I have given the 8 new ducklings so much love and affection and they are very loving and affectionate in return.

Sadly, three of the extra ducklings I received are male khaki Campbell’s and the fourth is a male mallard/golden 300 hybrid. Unfortunately, I cannot keep the additional males, so if anyone is looking for a khaki Campbell drake, mallard/300 drake, or 4 drakes 😉, I am putting them up for adoption/looking to rehome them or even make a trade! All 4 boys are very quiet and extremely calm. They are even willing to sleep next to you or on you! It devastates me to have to do this, but my two drakes are a LOT to handle with the hormones surging! Thanks for reading!

Hello! I'm in Corona. No chicks yet, still building our chicken run. Started two years ago and we're getting close to the finish line. We live on a hillside so its taken us alot of time and and dirt to make the hill side use able. (aka flat so I don't slide on my butt).
I'm looking for local harcheries with pullets ready to go. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a couple extra duck teenagers if you want to add ducks to your going-to-be flock. I’m in Orange County.
