People you really need to sign the patition if you have not, we have only 200 signatures on it, I also would like hand written letters from children who may have chickens and are not part of ffa or 4h, even if they are they can say that they get their birds from adults who are not in 4h and with out breeders the quality of birds that they show is going to go down!!

We're fairly new to BYC, and we're in Burbank. We have been chick parents since mid-June. Our brood consists of the following: 2 Rhode Island Reds, an Ameraucana, White Crested Black Polish, Barnevelder, Light Brahma, Buff Brahma, Delaware, White Silkie Bantam, Black Cochin Bantam, Buff Orpington, Black Copper Maran, Mottled Java, and a Barred Rock.

They are all 10 weeks old now and so cute. We did have 2 others originally, but they turned out to be roosters so we had to find a new home for them. They are now happily living in Santa Clarita with 24 hens...lucky roosters!

We're so happy to be part of this BYC Forum!

Howdy fellow SoCal peeps! We're new to raising chickens- we brought our first girls home on Feb. 15th of this year. We were going to start with just the 6 but somehow we're up to 18 hens & 1 roo- COL! What can I say- we love our feathered girls & boy! We're located in the hot Mojave Desert.

Welcome MichenerFarm, Where are you located in the Mojave Desert? I live in Inyokern, about 45 miles north of Mojave off of 395 up where the China Lake Navy Base is.
