California Tan from TSC

[Charlies Angels 2020]

Does anyone know anything about a California Tan? my grandson got me some from TCS. Never heard of them and cant find anything about hem online.

Maybe they were mislabeled? I've heard of California Whites.

Never heard that name.

I have California Whites. As chicks they are fully yellow with a few random black spots.

I found this on the TSC website listed as California Tan. It has to be a mix. What does it look like?

I would say it is a white leghorn mixed with a brown layer and will give tan eggs.

You're right!! They're quite hard to find on the website, but they're there...
This is the info I found:

• Primarily raised for eggs
• High producer of large to x-large cream/tinted eggs
• Very active, docile and friendly birds weighing 3-4 lbs.

looks and sounds like yet another hatchery cross. They're coming out with more and more trying to outdo each other.

They certainly do! Cute little tykes!

I suppose given the pic you found of a California Tan and what adult California Whites look like we may have to wait for the eggs to happen.
