Think I'm going to go to bed and see if I feel well enough to make the auction in the morning. Then again, I was on that website last night and I'd rather be buying on there. Alas they have no chickens.
Kim,
The tarps I get at Harbor Freight in Modesto are 5' by 7' heavy duty silver & I bought them when they were on sale for $4.95 each. Aaron & I put them up with zip ties on the chain link pens. I think I will get a few of the ones Cheryl sent the link to also. I like that they are clear & heavy duty. I dread when the rains get here & it gets mucky out there.
I am about out of feed again so need to call J.S. West for a delivery today or tomorrow. These holidays have me all confused about what day it is......LOL I think Olivia goes back to school today.
Kayla and I did the auction today. She replaced her rabbits with another one. Trying to pick a name for him. Figures they had him caged under a bunch of pigeons. uck! I also bought what from a distance looked like a cochin roo, but his a silkie with a bad comb. LOL He came with a bantam Game hen. I thinks she's kind of nice. I'll have to post pics and see. Bought ther roo, because I want hackle feathers for earrings. LOL I ran into the sellers and told them about BYC, so hopefully they'll find us. They seem really nice. So I don't have to name these 2 birds. The roo is Slick and the hen is Maggie Mae. The rabbit??? Unless I've owned a breed I can tell. He's cute though.

Kayla and Dakotah go back next week. Dakotah is still sick in bed.
I like the clear tarps, just trying to figure out what I can afford. I HAVE to get that car fixed. Still haven't found Bill's friend to see if he can get my van running again. I really miss using that thing. I haven't had transportation since New Years Eve, and that usually means I have none all year. Kind of nervous about that.
Forgot to mention I saw some pretty Cochins at the auction. I started bidding and then realized the people with Taylor were also bidding, so I got his attention and asked. Decided to let them get them. BTW Taylor, I told her I want hatching eggs later and I'd trade for something I have, so you're my middleman. LOL
Is there someone close to Livermore who can put down a roo for a member? CoopByTheBay had a very lame bird and it needs to be done, but they just can't do it. He's been a pet. The vet wants to charge them $100! Unreal. They just want him put down humanely, so if someone is willing to help I'm sure they would appreciate it.

What a shame.........I wish I was closer I would do it for them. I feel bad for the people that get emotionally attached to their pet birds & have this happen.
