Awwww Kim!!! I got the short version last night! Man you really need to tell the universe to let up! Enough is enough already! lol I'm with Pam. I think you need a new start with some new energy. I swear if you move here I am gonna Feng Shui your whole house. We want some positive Chi for a change! Hey it can't hurt to try.


Thanks Ron! Congrats on the new chicks coming. I'll try to get pics when I get mine but I might wait til next week so I can get pics of them all! I'm finally picking up my chicks from Kim/Wolftracks and Chickee.

Gosh Kim, so sorry to hear about your latest bad luck. I'm not sure what you believe but you could pray for change. Or, my yoga teacher gave me some white sage. I guess you burn it and it removes bad energy. (or maybe gets you high enough that you don't care?)

Figure I'd post about my day yesterday. Chapter?????

You'd think after the last 2 times over like the past 3 months that they'd figure out I have no money, but I got a text from B of A saying there was another hold on my card for possible fruadulent use. Someone made a purchase online for specialty car parts! Bad enough I can barely leave enough in there to keep the account open. But this is the 3rd time in as many months that they get my new numbers.

I went to Makayla's school to pick her up. Was going to come home and jump in the shower and than run to the bank and grocery store.

I made it to the school. That was it. Been raining here and was just starting to sprinkle so I got her umbrella out of the trunk. I still had a few minutes so I wasn't even in a hurry. I got to the covered area where the first classroom was and that wet slick sidewalk caused me to slip. I hit a post and then my hand when straight down on the edge of a trash can, the can flipped and rolled, so couldn't get my footing. Went down wrong on my hand and landed with it turned over and my shoulder and head into the cement. I know. Graceful right? What if this had been a kid?

Didn't get home from the hospital till just a couple of minutes to midnight. I really snapped this thing. Now I need to go to a Ortho surgeon in about a week for more xrays to see if it is alright to leave it as is and cast or do surgery. They positioned it as good as they could for now.

Trying to figure out how to water and feed animals and do dishes and get washed clothes to the laundromat. aaarrggg

As I was leaving the house yesterday I was saying I was going to be positive and work at making things better this year. Never fails, I swear!

Sorry for the Cross Post. I posted this on the california northern thread, but thought I might get the word out to those no longer following that thread but still live close to Vacaville

Western Ranch in Vacaville is a Dealer for King Feed. I called them to see if they had the Natural Soy-Free Layer Pellets and they said for King feed only the Rabbit feed had been selling, so they did not keep the Poultry feed in Stock. I had them order two 50 pound bags and they will call me when it is in.

I had the same thing happen with Higby's in Dixon and Modesto Mills feed. They now carry it because us chicken owners started ordering it. I suspect Western Ranch will start carrying the King Feed again if we order some from them. This feed sounds good. A lot of BYC'rs are using it in the Bay Area and most say the chickens don't waste as much and seem to not eat as much and are still thriving.

I will let you know what my chickens think of it

I hope they like it. A couple of weeks ago they told me it's Price was $17.99 for 50 pounds. Quite a bit less than the Non-Soy Modesto Mills(of course it is not Organic).

We are in Norco (Southern California) We breed French Marans, Jersey Giants, Orpingtons, Silkies, Bantam Cochins, D'Uccles and a few others for fun. Planning on going to the Fresno show next weekend. Anyone else going? If anyone is looking for chickens let us know, we have a ton right now! Standard laying breeds also.
We also have 2 horses, Sebastopol Geese, 2 cats and 2 dogs. It's deffinetly a full house here! Hope to be able to meet some of you in the future!

I am also going to the Fresno show. It will be the first one I've attended. I am always on the hunt for nice Blue Andalusians, Sumatras and Delawares. Should be a lot of fun.

I wanted to say hi, since I also have Delawares and live in N CA.

I started out with a few from Sand Hill, then I bought hatching eggs from Bill Braden last Nov.
Do you show your Dels or plan to, or are they a utility flock?
