What's really cool, is that they are all eggs from my breeding pens. The tolbunts and orpingtons fertility is amazing right now, I didn't throw any eggs away!!

Awesome, my Jersey Giant hen is a laying machine right now. She lays eggs about every day, and one day she laid 2 eggs (both perfect) and then the next morning she laid another egg.

Grr, no space for any experiments yet. And she's 3, and egg production is going to slow down sometime...

What's really cool, is that they are all eggs from my breeding pens. The tolbunts and orpingtons fertility is amazing right now, I didn't throw any eggs away!!

Well Cheryl I just happen to be on the hunt for a breed of large white egg layers. I can't think of any large fowl dual purpose ones so I am thinking of going to Leghorns just for the amount of large white eggs. They will be in my layer pen. The Black Minorcas I go just don't do the joib. 3 eggs from 2 hens in a week just doesn't cut it & the Mottled Javas that I thought were white egg layers,...... who knows where I read that...., are laying brown eggs (light biege). so I have no white egg layers. I love to have the mix in the carton for show.....I am a silly girl i know.....LOL

I have a lot of eggs due tomorrow and I don't know how long this has been going on, but my Sportsman is reading 95 degrees! I found 3 of the aquarium thermometers and just tossed those in to see if maybe the digital one is wrong. I have bout 5 more eggs I wanted to set today and I think I have about 60 more in there due next week. OMG! Why does my life suck so bad???? Some of those eggs are BTB Japs that I ordered since Lowriders breeder has gotten rid of all her birds and I wanted more of these. I forget right now what else is in there. I can't find any pms or emails that are letting me know where they came from. June has just been too dang busy to keep up with anything. That plus staying up till all hours of the night watching for a firebug, so my house doesn't end up next.

On a good note, my little Lionhead is gorgeous! Cuddly too.

Kim I have a free shelf in my Brinsea if you want me to hatch for you. I have good results with 54% humidity so thats how I have it set up.

Not silly at all! I am the same way.

Just want to say "Hi" to everyone else. Not quite done moving yet so we are still running around like a... well you know. Just had time to scan the thread during a break. Gotta move my Dad in 2 weeks so no rest for the weary around here.
