Yep, been dumping it straight in and I work everything in as I'm adding. I really thought the boards were much longer. They sure seemed longer and really heavy while I was moving them around, but I'm kind of liking this size. I can do square foot planting and be able to reach more. I need to put the next one together, but all the trouble I had with the first one is keeping me from just grabbing them and putting them together. I want to put a compost bin on the other side of the yard where the chickens will be.

Oh and my neighbor who is having her house rebuilt came by noght before last and asked if I still wanted the cyclone fence that runs across the front of her house. I wanted it for a dog run, but I may use it down part of the side of the yard and that way the chickens can free range even if the dogs are in the yard and I don't have to worry. I can't make it permenent though. This is a rental and when we first moved in they want to make sure anything I do can be undone, so I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do this. I can set it up like a run where there's no cement, but it's a long fence.

Sounds cool! I also love those names.

You'll figure the fence thing out I'm sure. You can't let free fencing go to waste!
Yea I was reading about the best manures to add to a garden and rabbit feces was listed at the top as really great cause you don't have to compost it first.

That sounds perfect to me!

I wish I had time to prep a garden right now but I don't. I'm madly trying to get the coops back up right now. Then we have to build a dog house big enough for both the dogs.

Let me know in the spring. I throw it all away right now. So if I can give it away I would rather.

I wish you were closer, I'd take that rabbit poop off your hands.

Took a few pics yesterday while the birds were bigging me. Figures when I'd try they'd walk off like I was crazy. I also tried to get one of El Guapo but he always moves. He's in a holding cage right now while I'm getting coops done. He's been in with my bantam Wellie girls forever and not to happy that my cockerel was old enough to put in there with them now. I really need a pic of that cockerel. He's gotgeous. So is El Guapo, but you can't tell by his pics.

Harley and a couple of the girls checking to see what mom threw into the raised bed. Then they stole the
banana peels before I could mix everything in.
