Thelma, the best shot I could manage. She's just finishing her molt, her tail and cushion are still growing back in.

I'm sure looking forward to some of your beautiful Lavenders! I'm pretty sure it was you anyway. I accidently erased my BYC inbox.

Kim R. are you going to have EE chicks for me the end of January or should I wait til spring?

I should have some. I'm going to figure out lighting too, so I may have others laying by then. I really want my lav AMs to start laying. Blues too for that matter.

Yep, that was me

My lavenders are laying but I need to separate them into a pen with my lavender rooster. I need to find homes for some of my young roosters to free up a pen. I have 2 gorgeous BLRWs and 1 very pretty bantam buff laced Polish rooster in need of a home if anyone is interested.

Here is a picture of my lavender rooster that I took today and some of the eggs from my lavenders (little green one is from a buff Ameraucana and the pale blue one on left is from a BW)

Sure, I can, if you don't mind a barnyard mix, as I haven't segregated anyone out yet. Many of mine are Wyandottes, but I have some EE hens too, so you could get an interesting mix of chick colors. How many do you need and how soon? What I've got now is in the fridge, so I'd want to start collecting seperately, and with the light changes, I'm getting two to six eggs a day.

You know, I prefer the color of the lavenders eggs. The BWs seem so pale. Not all of my wheaten, blue wheaten and splash girls have started laying so I am hoping for a little darker color from some of them

It's hard to tell since different monitors display colors so differently but the lavender's eggs do look richer. When I had my black ams I was told that the eggs would be a powder blue and was looking forward to them but the eggs were not what I expected. I really love a huge variety of colors from my laying flock and am trying to achieve this this year.
Will you have some BWs available too in spring? I'd love to have both!

Want me to add you? And what lines of Wellies do you have? I need a roo

Yes, please add me. I have Barber lines.

haha I already did. I'll add the lines though.

All the birds are so beautiful! That Lav roo is gorgeous! Mine is still pretty young so I hope he starts looking like that.

Oh I want blue eggs soooo bad. Too bad i hatched out mostly cockerels all year. I think I over populated the whole area with roos all by myself.

I got lazy today, so dnner is still in the crockpot. Made turkey (of course) and dumplings. Just waiting for it to finish. Wierd to eat anything but chocolate. LOL

I hope someone knows of a vet for you. You might also want to ask in the southern Cal thread. Nice to have someone close that may actually know.

Trying to get pics of my new babies up here, but they are so fuzzy. The pics, not just the bunnies.

Having problems with another hatch!!!!!!!! Man what is it with me? I have 9 EE egs in there, some pipped and I finally grabbed one out to see if something was wrong. Opened it up enough to see the chick was shrink wrapped. ????? My humidity is at 73. I just don't get it. I knew I should have used an LG and not the Sportsman for hatching!
