CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

Slowly, that's too wide of an age spread.  I keep it to no more than a week apart, after that you have to finesse the introduction.

Thanks Petrock and Deb. The older pullets are out in their own coop. I'll pick up the young ones Thursday (Ameracaunas). The youngsters will go in a giant dog crate in my shop...it stays pretty warm in there this time of year. I'll just introduce them under close supervision until the youngest can be moved out to the coop.

Thanks for the advice.

Ok girls, time for Chicken Math...

If I have 6 pullets (7 weeks old) and want to get 4 more pullets (2 weeks old), should I introduce them slowly it just put them together?
I find my chicks are like puppies...everyone is a buddy....until about 8 weeks old.
