CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

Pics
I should say - I don't know the state well at all. So, I'm hoping for some specific recommendations on where there's likely to be snow in December-January, and that's also nice to go.

Oh No. LOL

I was smart. I had nothing, I spent nothing. hahaha

But you got what you were going to try for, so that's a good thing.

PICS!!!!

Thanks Kim. It was a great time ................
Taylor I just hatched out 9 Sizzles a few days ago. I have to wait about a week or so to see if they frizzle or not....... I wantto see your's. Are they pullets or what??? What color are they? Are they grown or chicks? Inquiring minds what to know.........LOL
I just got back from picking up a pick up load of pumpkins for $20. I answered a Craigslist ad & it turned out to be someone I knew..........Small world thing. I was tickled to get them. They are going to plow the field soon. My chickens gobble the pumpkins up. That & the overgrown zuchinni from my daughter's yard.
My husband made a stand for my road cone so I could use it as a killing cone & I processed one of the Indian River cokerels today. I sent it home with a friend that was here visiting. She is from Alabama & is going to make chicken & dumplings out of it & bring some to me. I kept the gizzard & liver & am boiling it in chicken stock til it's tender & will munch on it later.
I bought a brand new stainless steel turkey fryer kit from a fiend & the pot is nice & deep. I had to keep adding cold water to get the water down to where it needed to be or I would have cooked the thing.....LOL
It has been a great & productive day I even did some housework & laundry....WOW!!!!

X2!

Anna I love Jamestown next to Angels camp! They have a couple of B&Bs that are nice there and some cabins as well. Just beautiful and not far from the ghost town, turned historical site, of Columbia. Really love it there!
