You know, I prefer the color of the lavenders eggs. The BWs seem so pale. Not all of my wheaten, blue wheaten and splash girls have started laying so I am hoping for a little darker color from some of them
It's hard to tell since different monitors display colors so differently but the lavender's eggs do look richer. When I had my black ams I was told that the eggs would be a powder blue and was looking forward to them but the eggs were not what I expected. I really love a huge variety of colors from my laying flock and am trying to achieve this this year.
Will you have some BWs available too in spring? I'd love to have both!
Yes I will have the W/BWs also. I just put some pullet eggs in the incubator from my buffs and a BW and Splash pullet for a test hatch. They are due on December 18th. The wheaten rooster I am using is from Pips & Peeps and my pullets are from Paul Smith.
Here is my wheaten rooster with my splash pullet. I have 2 wheaten, 2 blue wheaten and 1 splash pullet in with him.
