I am no good at plumbing...maybe I should learn but I guess that'll happen when we get to building a cob house. Well I can't make it to the Stockton show. There's a ton of things happening and I know we shouldn't go because we'd have to spend so much on gas. It's 3.75 down here and it just keeps going up. I really wanted to meet people who were going from BYC but that isn't happening. Of course I would have been tempted to take home chickens, and I can't have them right now.
We saw a couple portions of land in Tennessee we might like to go see this spring. They are all around 5 or 6 acres. One has the shell of a cabin. It's $15,000. It has water and power connected, supposedly. I think I have to call the person, because they aren't returning my e-mail. It would just be nice to have an affordable place. I know we can't really stay in California. I mean, we could and pay a lot in rent or buy a house...but we wanted land and we can't get that here without paying through the nose. Plus I have my student loans. I am just excited to start my job and get more experience. Then I'd feel confident in making the move. My fiance's mom thinks he's crazy lol. But I told her, We're young. We can try this out, and if it doesn't work, we can always go back into the rat race.
