I really like these! They are a day old, and one of them was desperately trying to get up on the back of the EcoGlow to get to me. They are already eating and drinking like crazy. They also are already getting feathers on their wings.Your babies are so cute!
Scovy Momma, that's one cute duck!
Thanks BigDaddysMom! I love the polish in your avatar!
LOL, I noticed that after reading the thread backwards! Hey, you really like my girl!Oh! I'm sorry I posted twice! I've been having problems posting the last couple of days but I guess the post before actually went through.

Oh yeah! Absolutely! I just meant it was weird me calling myself a Californian. I feel welcome just about everywhere on BYC!Certainly with my friends here!![]()
Awwwww!!! What cuties!
Thanks, that's my girl Lady GaGa. SunnyDawn just hatched some of my Polish eggs and got a Splash like her and a pure white in the group. Wish someone in my group would go broody so I can hatch some! I sold my incubator after my one and only hatch. There was too much stress keeping the temp/humidity correct. But I am considering getting a better one....did I say that out loud?![]()
Hahaha! Get yourself a Brinsea then with a humidity pump. You just set it and forget it! No temp swings of any kind. Mine runs a little cool but I just set it for 100.4 and it works great!!! It even remembers your previous settings if the power goes out! A huge relief for me since that was a big problem with my other thermostat.
I didn't order the humidity pump when I ordered mine and I found out quickly that the humidity is impossible to keep up without having to open the bator during lockdown. Plus it is one more thing to stress about. I ordered the pump since then and it is due in a couple of days. Just in time for lockdown on these Orp eggs I am cooking right now! YEA! Now I can just set it and forget it!
Did I tell everyone I got 3 out of 3 marans' eggs to hatch for Easter? Such cuties!
Happy Easter everyone. Long couple of days.
I got home a couple of hours ago and so glad I had a house. With Rockette hurt again I had her in the kitchen in a box that allows little movement. She's starting to stand but falls over. I'm sure she'll be ok but when is another story. So I walk in the door and see something run across my kitchen floor. I'm thinking MICE! Nope. I have a tub in the kitchen with chicks that may be going to the auction in the morning. Walk in and chicks are all over the place. I look over and my lamp is in the floor on it's side and Rockette's big butt is taking up the tub. There are chicks surrounding it and peepomg their heads off. My house could have burned down! Chicks were cold and hungry and Rockette is lounging in the warmest spot. I swear she was trying to become fried chicken. I swear if she could get across the room and into that tub, she faking some of this. Spoiled rotten bird! Thing is as soon as she's back out whith the others she's totally ignore me again, just like last time.
Looks like i might be up all night. I was setting turkey eggs and I think I heard peeping from eggs that should have hatched yesterday. Sure hope so.
LOL! I know this was probably a pain but you paint such a funny picture! I can just see little chicks running everywhere. Sounds like such a cute scene!Course it's only funny because everyone is OK! So glad that Rockette didn't start a fire!!!![]()
