CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

Yeah I didn't want to use it mixed. I have bad enough luck and figured I'd asphyxiate myself, so wasn't going to use it. I use Oxine alone. I still have most of a gallon, but I'm thinking since I like it so well, I may buy a backup bottle. I have one problem with the one I have. I was adding it to waterers and since I had so much I was using a syringe straight from the botttle. Well when I first had the surgery on my wrist I was doing everything one handed and I tried to ti the bottle and fill the syringe and it slipped from my finger. I still haven't found a way to get it out of the bottle. I figure it will be extra sanitary by the time I'm at the bottom and can just dump it out. LOL

So hard water remover huh??? I may have to use it for that. I thought I had hard water in Union City, but this stuff out here is a bear! Thanks for the tip. So do you just sprinkle it in? Does it need to have baking soda added or can you use it straight?

I caught my black AM roo yesterday and guess what. I've never noticed that he is actually a very dark blue. To bad he has anger problems. He was also the roo that Haley was chasing away from Rockette when she got hurt. He was more interested in staying right there and fighting. Stupid bird. I also need to find some new boxes for Rockette. I had given her a bigger container and her leg isn't going back even as far as I had it so far, so I have to keep trying. I think she just needs a tighter fit again. I hope.

Hey Susg4332, I'm glad you finally joined us. I'll add you to the first post. Take a look at the Breeders section and look at the format and then just post here and I'll add your info.

Kim, in the breeder listing could you add LF Golden Campine, exhibition lines for me?

Thanks!

I have MANY other breeds, maybe too many?

Maybe next year when I see what I have, I'll have other breeds to add.

You can use it straight but it works better if you mix it with baking soda, when you are ready to use it. It makes it foam, like scrubbing bubbles. It may not work as well as Lime Away. I prefer to use less toxic materials to clean when possible.

My son worked at a poultry farm & they used it in their water lines to keep the mineral deposits from clogging them.

Speaking of events. I wanted to make sure that anyone that's interested check out the Stanford Mother's Day Pow Wow. Whether it's only to attend one day or camp out with us, you're all invited. I've been goingt to this Pow Wow since the first year. I think I've missed 6 in all these years. I danced there as a teen and my 2 oldest girls danced when they were little. I had a bunch of party poopers after that. I have grandkids that would like to dance, but between cost and time I'd be working for 3 years to get regalia done. Did I mention none of my kids learned beadwork, which I used to teach at the Intertribal Friendship House years ago. Not one but my youngest daughter has picked up a needle and she gets too frustrated. Anyway these days I go and sometimes run into old friend, one I've known since we were 6 and I stock up on my beading supplies and oh yeah, EAT! I think last year it had gone up to $10 to camp. Not bad for 3 days and some fun. So anyone who wants to come and be Native with us is welcome. No alcohol or drugs, Pow Wow is kind of our version of a Holy Roller Church. LOL I take the kids out of school that friday and get set up before all the sites are full from out of staters. o if anyone would like to go maybe we can get there around the same time and camp close by eachother. I have a spot I go to most every year and last year someone beat me to it. I'm trying to get there early enough to swoop on it this year. They can't take my spot away after all these years. haha There are lots of booths set up for crafts, clothing, information, and my supplies. Lots of types of food and if you feel like eating somewhere else, there's a PF Changs, within walking distance. Man I love that place and it's the best one I've ever been to.

OK that my Pow Wow advo. I hope someone takes us up on it.
