Call Duck Adventure

Duckling update I get to say I got to add four more adorable little babies to my number today. Though they were more like little wrecking balls in the incubator once they got out of their shells.

So one egg pipped into the back of the shell completely away from the air cell! Gah these things are going to make me bald! :barnie So I opened it up a hair more and put it back in now that I know it can breathe. One is working on a zip, three are waiting to push out and I have no idea what’s going on in the other two.

I can’t see any bruises on the shell like the others and they aren’t peeping up a storm. I did hear tapping still when I last checked. They have a safety hole but I don’t know what I should do with those last two.

I just put the last Welsh and two call ducklings into the brooder. I have 6 eggs left in the incubator. The two that hadn’t pipped yet I opened then and found two very large ducklings in the eggs. Bills right against the the shell with no room to move.

The others are doing well and still working on getting out of the shell. But the backwards pipped one is still struggling. But as it’s still yawning and chewing I am leaving it alone

Another night of no sleep then?

likely so unless backward pip comes around.

but on up notes! I have pictures. Which of course none of the ducklings wanted to play along with.

no idea what colors I have exactly but here they are for the call babies
