I have gotten my first call duck, she is only three days old. Any advice on raising her and the breed is much appreciated! (: thanks!

  • Ik you can go to forums, or search forums and read up on call ducks. Ik there is ine for ducks specificalky. I used it alot while raising my pekins. A sub forum i never read was about call ducks and seemed oretty active and popular with alot of replies. Sorry, i do not know how to attach links yet

Ok thanks for the advice! That helps a lot! (:

Agree with the others. Male call ducks "can" be ok with larger ducks, but female calls can be seriously injured by large drakes trying to mate her. So be very careful with that part.

Basic care of call ducks is pretty much the same as other ducks. They love water, and even a small baby pool works well for calls. You are going to love them!
I hatched 5 in the incubator this weekend. one of my hens has a group about 3 weeks old now.
