I putting my call ducks in a large cage in a building with my Seramas can I cover the pen at night with a blanket to get them to be quiet until the nest morning when I uncover them?

How are they going to have fresh air? in a coop there needs to be ventilation how will you make that happen covering the cage? are they noisy at night? do you keep a light on?
There’s a wire bottom they can breathe through there and yeah there loud

The moisture they create needs a way out and it goes up not down.
We need someone who has Calls

I think it would be fine if they are just covered at night and your not using something super thick and blocking all the air flow.

Depends probably on how many ducks are in that cage and whether they have water access in there or not. If it were me I would maybe just cover three sides and perhaps leave a side open.

Those munchkins must have a lot to talk over. Once my ducks go in I hear them for just a few minutes until they all get settled then nothing until they hear me open the back door. Then they have an awful lot to say.

Mine are not typically noisy at night with quacking but they do chatter. Sounds like they're telling jokes out there and laughing.
Reminds me of when the kids were little and they were supposed to be going to sleep. 🤣

My Mallards and Rouens can be quite loud especially when they see me come home. Usually at night all is quiet unless something startles them. I would be concerned about the wire bottom of the cage and their feet. They can get bumble feet and mine live on sand. I have never had a case of that yet. Maybe calls do not get that since they are not quite as heavy. Good luck with yours.
