Call duck Eggs wiggle but no internal pip Day 25

They will be pretty small peeps, so you would need to be pretty close to hear them if your incubator is loud haha. I could hear mine from a good ten feet away when they really got going inside their shells, but that’s probably just because my house was dead silent when they started to hatch. You will probably be able to hear it a little bit if you listen closely, even with the loud incubator.
Do they just tend to sit still for a long time between the “poking at the membrane” ?

Yeah, they do often take breaks, and some are longer than others. If you are concerned that the baby has given up, I would suggest assisting. If you will see occasional movement, even if there are a few minutes in between movements, it usually means the baby is just tired. Bringing yourself into the world is hard for a baby bird! If you would like to assist, I would recommend looking up a few videos on how to do so safely 🙂

Is it normal for the baby duck to take a biggg nap?? I’m sorry for asking so many questions, do you know like a range of how long of a nap do they usually take?

Should we assist the ones that hasn’t done an internal pip? Or what’s the next step with those?

Egg#1 & 3 hasn’t internally pipped. (We candled them yesterday morning at 11am.)

Update, Day 29, all 3 eggs have not really wobbled/shifted/ moved in anyway over the 12-24hr period… am I allowed to candle them again? Or better not?

Update, after giving a safety hole, we decided to open it up a a bit more. Since there was no movements at all, and the egg began to turn cold. I think all of them died. The 3rd egg didn’t progress beyond a moving blob that looked like yolk.

Egg#1: first pic. It has feet above its head, and the beak is half formed. There’s still sac of fluids of some kind with bubbles in it.

Egg#2: I’m not sure how to begin with this one, you can clearly see the yolk still attached, but we just left him and #1 back into the incubator.

With coconut oil, he looks like this ⬇️

Note, I remember for next time to crack a small hole for safety next time when its 12hrs after their big wobbles
