Call Duck Eggs

The air sacs look good and went back and looked at the post you have. I have an incubator that circulates air. The temp was pretty consistent at 99.5-100.00. All 17 were viable when they went in but now 4 have died in the shells. The count is right. Should I just leave them in for a few more days? Temperature? Humidity?

First, one easy thing to mess up, we have all done it -- is your day count correct?

Ducklings draw in the yolk very late, just within the last couple of days before hatch, so its not surprising that the yolk was still large.
Still seeing movement is still hope though. Were any of the air cells drawn down? I mean, did they look out of the normal shape? Like more scrunched into the fat end? Draw down usually happens within a couple days of hatch also.

I would bet though, that your temperatures have been too low throughout incubation.

I have one due tomorrow, but wasn't seeing any rocking or anything so took it out for about 10 secs to quickly candle for blood vessels. Think it'll be another 48 hrs. Room mine are in is around 28-30 c anyway and was sprayed once put back in to keep humidity up. These are my first. But from what I've read If you know they're still moving leave it another 12-24 hrs. Sure someone with more knowledge will chip in soon.

Yes I candled them 14/17 still have movement. Would me touching them, opening the incubator ruin it now.
A quick in and out shouldn't hurt them..Many of us are very hands on with a good success rate. I'm sure nothing is your fault. Call ducklings can be difficult :hugs
Don't give up hope just yet. I've had ducklings under broody hens be several days late. So far I've not had many that actually hatched on day 26. But sometimes I may count wrong myself. :)
