So I have a flock of 3 call ducks. My two females (one snowy) and (one pastel) with my male; a blue fawn.

My females started laying eggs so I incubated them to hatch. Now I assumed the babies would be one of the parents colors. But, I was wrong…😂

So one 3 babies look like white calls, one a silver, and one a gray. What on earth!? Lol
Is there some general rule of getting specific colors? How did they make not one, not two, but 3 different color call ducklings complete different from them!?
Now before I put pictures of the babies on here, is anyone up to guessing or confirming the colors for me? I have a lady who wants white calls so I want to be sure the babies are actually white before I give them to her.

There is a genetic calculator here: https://kippenjungle.nl/Overzicht.htm#eendcalculator most genes are not as simple as X + Y = x & y :) sometimes you get some fun combos!

Snowy x Blue Fawn/Blue Mallard = 50% blue mal, 50% normal mallard

Pastel/Apricot Mallard x Blue Fawn/Blue Mallard = 50% blue mal, 50% apricot mal

Depending on what the grandparents are and what genes the parents might carry, other things are possible (such as white, if its recessive in ducks)
