Call Ducks Finally Hatched

There look to be 6 white, 2 blue fawns, 1 blue magpie, 1 blue ?, 1 gray, 1 black with a white bib and white belly (maybe magpie ?) and I'm not sure what the 1 is at the bottom. He has the markings of a gray except his markings are brown instead of yellow. Guess we'll have to wait and see

Congratulations! They are so cute. I hope one is a magpie, and a blue too. How wonderfull.

Totally don't blame you, lol. With the Anconas it's next to impossible to get a solid white. So any that hatch out all yellow I get so excited because they are most likely the prettiest colors.

The first one I hatched out I checked him out after they were all killed. I hadn't had a chance to look at his markings up close, he was a lavender

In Nevada, if a dog goes on your property to kill any livestock, poultry... you have the right to shoot the dog. I blame the owners though. If you have a dog, it is your responsibly to keep it safe and on your property only. Not out killing someone's pets, or getting hit in the road.

Lol I blame the owner too. It was my dog.

Oh sorry!
Bad Dog!!!!  My little dachshund would kill a chick if she could. Since I have been raising the babies up in my room with a shock collar for her, she is not so interested any more.

It's okay :) we have a dachshund too! It was my husky that got them though. Can't blame him, they are pack animals and have a strong prey drive. I didn't realize the electric fence got knocked down. That's all it took!

First one mallard, second one chocolate bibbed, third bibbed I think maybe MAGPIE???, fourth mallard again she likes to be held.

The fourth one not dried up yet still waiting for him...
Those babies are so beautiful. So sad you lost one.

I sat my eggs last Tuesday, then proceeded to catch a bad cold. I just looked at them last night. 9 are developing (out of 24, not so good.) I will wait the full 10 days before throwing any out. I am so hopping I get some to hatch this time. If not I will keep practicing with my chicken eggs until mine start laying. I think they are more difficult to hatch after being shipped.

Usually. It depends a lot on the distance.

Can't wait til mine start laying so I can test out their fertility, etc.

Did someone say that turners that have the eggs upright aren't good on ducks? Meaning big end up small end down.

I'm possibly going to just buy another incubator, janoel JN24.....I have the JN12 and love it, but it only holds about 4-6 eggs.
