All 4 of mine are out!

Surprise Tammy! One of yours hatched all by its lonesome!!!

The one that didn't internally pip I am 90% sure died.

The other 2 are still going strong and should zip today! Will keep a close eye!

I promise I'll get pictures ASAP. It is Easter though and I'm about to have a lot of people here! Lol!

When I got home from work, Two eggs were dead. One tried hatching a day early and couldn't make it out. The other one just up and died. Lots of sticky stuff, and it's yolk was attached to the whole body of the chick, encircling it.

The last two are internally pipped and moving and chirping. I will make safe holes in the morning. I will have another 5 due on Wednesday.

AWWW sticky babies??? GRRR well be patient we may have a cure for that, my experiment eggs are still going strong, I can see my first one, is pushing on it's membrane, he still has five days though. I pretty sure he'll be early because of all the sucking out the gooy stuff so I'm ready for him.

Something is going wrong here! The one egg looked all absorbed, so I opened the top and cleared the beak. It is still chirping and doing fine. The other had lots of dark veins, although it had already internally pipped. It died last night! Neither were sticky. I should have made a safe hole on both? I didn't know when they pipped, I was doing my 36 hours in Reno.

Dark veins is not good, when blood hits air it turns dark, so some how one of his veins had busted. he probably got a blood clot and we all know blood clots and hatchings do not mix..

Told you they were tiny. I don't have any magpies breeding though so unless they have some hidden genes that I'm not aware of, should be a pied.

Yes the shell was harder than normal. The one I helped is doing excellent. It is trying to get out the rest of the way. There is a small piece yet to be absorbed. About the size of the tip of my little finger. I think all the wiglling that it is doing will help it absorb.

I will have to free up the beaks of the ones due Wednesday so this does not happen again. I think, 12 hours after the pip.

Keep pressure on the yolk? Not a lot, lean him either upwards or against something. as he chirps it should help absorb faster..

AND get the ONION. UMMMM love the way onions smell but make SURE it's yolk and NOt a swelled up vent.
