Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Small SOS. My "white out" duck was hatching on the wrong end, so I helped him out. Well, I left the egg in there, because he is still attached to it, and it almost looks like he isn't fully developed? Is this normal and will he survive?

what part of it isn't developed?

It's between his legs. Possibly the yolk sac. This is my first time with ducks, think I may have screwed up by helping him. It's been a couple hrs he's still alive. I'll take a picture.

is he still some in the egg shell? Like his bottom half where the yolk sack is? Sounds like he hasn't absorbed it.

Can't get the picture to upload. Yeah that part is still attached to the inside of the egg shell. I think that's what it is. He seems strong so hope he'll make it. The other two are pipping so I expect they'll be out by morning.

Is is good sized and bright orange and or is it kinda shriveled and more gray?
Trying to see how much if any he's absorbed.
