Unlike baby chickens they're born with their eyes closed, they don't eat solid food at all (only formula) and are very easy to aspirate. They don't technically have to be tube fed if you have the time to give just a couple drops at a time for each baby until their crops are full. They do learn to swallow it down at a decent pace after several feedings. For me it was just easier and less time consuming to tube feed. When I was getting up a couple times a night to feed several babies and still having to go to work at 6 am the less time I spent feeding, the more time I got to sleep

Wow that's a chore

Good luck! My last few nights have been spent chasing all six ducks down, one at a time, and stuffing them in their house. Tonight was much better.
I have the issue every night, seems like when I get a group in the next group doesn't want to go in because the first group is in. GRRRR. so we play I'm NOT playing this game tonight But everynight. LOL
