Call Ducks Finally Hatched

I'd love to see pics of them and little Skylar of course. Are you able to cuddle her?

I can't say she enjoys being cuddled, but she'll tolerate it when I insist. She's in one of the videos I posted in the duck videos thread. I have to try to get some individual pics of all the Calls, but I need to focus first on the ones we're putting up for sale since people almost always request pics.

Ha-ha, well I'd insist too. Oooh, gonna go find those videos. I am glad you are able to sell your calls to some good homes.

She's in the first video I posted in that thread. She really annoyed me that day. We normally have to be very careful opening the top because she shoots out of it like a rocket. Of course when I actually wanted her to do it and had a camera ready, she just poked around like it was no big deal.

that made me laugh. Of course things are on her terms.

I wonder if you can train a call duck to do tricks. I bet you can, if you can train them to call in the bigger ducks, which is there original job, they have to be smart enough to do tricks.

Mine already do some tricks. They will eat peas and greens on demand, dive underwater when they're in a pool or pond, and fly when I chase them yelling, "Fly, fly you silly birds!"

My Holderread's hen, she was purchased as breeder quality, i suspect there is something about her color that precludes her from being show quality, she quite dark colored. Her conformation is excellent though, tiny plump body, short bill. She is the mama of my drake that had angel wing that i fixed with duct tape, and also my 2 bibbed hens. Think next year I'll lock her up with my gray drake and have some 100% grays. She hatched her own brood this year, she's a great little gal.
