Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Mine are great because even though they can fly they never leave home. You can teach them to come right up to you, and they are super small.. They don't even need a big pond to swim in, we have two small kiddy pools, easy for dumping to clean out. They are a tab bit noisy, but constantly on the go... Shall I continue??? Lol

I do have five eggs right now available..

Oh you do now???? Hmmm, LOL. So then would I be able to let them run with my Anconas without worrying about inbreeding (since they are so tiny)? Anconas are 5-7 lb birds.

What's the price shipped for your eggs? I have a week to put more eggs in my bator then I gotta shut down for Christmas vacation ha.

Not a good idea to allow them to run together because of the size difference. They will still try to breed and the Anconas will injure (or possibly worse) the calls because they're so small.

So I have to ask (since this is a call duck thread) what's so cool about them? Meaning, I love the Anconas because their markings are always different and its a surprise what color comes out.

So what is it about call ducks that you like?? Maybe I'll get some

This is why! They're just soooo cute!

SAD SAD SAD News, last night the Mamma duck was off her eggs, she went for a swim, enjoying life without the hassle. So I snuck up to her nest to check out her eggs. Needless to say, one had exploded, So I candled the rest, she was not happy about me being there, she marched right over and sat, biting the crap out of me, but I had to check them to make sure there wasn't any more that were going to explode because usually once that happens the entire hatching is lost.

So Out of the 6 eggs that were left, Three were Rotten, OMG boy were they. So I left the finally three in there, well 30 minutes later I noticed she was off swimming again. I thought that was weird, she's yapping, and yapping. I waited about 2 hours to see if she would go back on the eggs and she didn't. I hope I wasn't to late but I grabbed the left over eggs, they were pretty COLD since when I went out there there was Frost on the ground. Popped those bad boys in the incubator, BOY did they start sweating. LOL.. Normal of course, Her due date was Nov. 6Th. I think where I went wrong is me checking her eggs while she was sitting. She bit me with each egg. LOL But I think because I disturb her nest, she was ****** and done. **** ME... But in the long run, I think it was for the best because she would have had more exploding eggs. So I waited 30 minutes checked the eggs and didn't see any movements. Ill check them again tonight, perhaps I didn't give them enough time to thaw out. Crossing fingers will still have a couple of them alive.

I used to have a Rouen they get about 8 pounds mine was a girl, we lost her to a fox, it just came and grabbed her by the neck and took her away, these kinds of ducks can't fly at all. Now she was huge but hung out with the calls and yes the boys would try and mount her. LOL. With NO success because she was WAY to big for them. They did try.. LOL

Men such horn dogs.. They will mate with anything that has two legs. LOL
