Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Hey congrats on the 16 you have ready to hatch. What will you do if all of the next 60 all hatch!!!  Wow! that is allot of ducks!!!
I have been curbing my candling addiction because I worried that was bad for them. So I can candle, cool! I did today though, before taping them down.

Well I can tell you taping them down is great because it's a real pain in the a** to try and untapped them to candle them, it really helped with my disease to keep my hands off. Lol. The CATT DISEASE... LOL

Not all 60 will be fertile or hatch. Incubating them is a project to check fertility for the breeder I got my last batch of eggs from.

Candling doesn't hurt them as long as you're not using a hot light bulb to do so. I candle mine almost every day once they start growing. I love seeing and watching them move around in there :)

Advanced CATT DISEASE...

My sweet Lily will be a week old tomorrow :)

Awe they are so well worth it...

I'm ready just hope we don't have a four in the morning hatching, lol, ouch that one was rough.
Now I will need pics so either text or email will work,,,,

There's certain things that I look for in order to give directions on which way to go..

Great. Thanks. Both text and email work for me although text is usually quicker. If needed I can snap pics with my phone and send them right over to you. Today is the start of day 23 so we're still a little ways off but getting close :)

Since my auction didn't do good, guess what happens now!! Yep no one wants them so off to the bator they go!!!

Now I'm curious how do you guys keep track of your lockdown date? Do you have a calendar or what?

I put the date right on my eggs, and if anyone one was wondering because I know people will have debates on this, but permanent marker does NOT affect the hatching of an egg. I use permanent marker on all my eggs and never had an issue yet..

So there's your lesson for the day lol..

I have a pad next to the bator that I write down start date and hatch date. Also set a reminder to go off in my phone when it's time for lockdown and then again at hatch time. By then it's already locked into my mind though lol.

I use pencil to write on my eggs but have seen others who use marker
