Call Ducks Finally Hatched

So I got a hold of this person and asked him if he had any white call duck eggs for sale and he responded. I asked how much for 6 eggs, he said 12. Plus 16.5 for shipping. Well that didn't seem to bad right? NOT ITS $12.00 PER EGG. ***...

I DONT EVEN SELL LIVE BABY DUCKS FOR 12.00 so needless to say no white ducks for me...

She has the pair to make blue bibs with her butterscotch and black bibbed. Could probably come up with a pair to make blue fawn too but not sure of all the colors she has. Lori--- do you have a way to pen up your pairs for breeding specific ducks?

Yes I could lock them up in the chicken coops..

If you want blues faster I can mail you a white hen on Monday. With the temperature change, she may start laying right away. You work so hard helping others, It's about time for your dreams come true. Can one duck handle the trip alone? I already have a shipping box, so it will just be the postage price. I will have the postage to pay. Or you can wait until I can make some with my stock. The choice is up to you. The reason I suggested the trade was because if we are both trying, one of us could get some faster than just one of us trying. I am going to order some of the whites from the three roses to improve my stock.

So now that I am determined, what kind of blue do you want? Blue Faun, Blue bibbed, Blue Mallard, Dusky blue...???

Awww. That's so kind. 3 Rose has some beautiful whites. Pricey but beautiful. I think the blue fawn is the same as the blue mallard but those and the dusky blue are my favorite blues. Hopefully one of us will get some soon.

Lori-- if you pen yours during the mating season you'll probably get some blues. If you want to send me a list of what colors you have (here or PM) I can let you know which pairings should produce blues and which of the blues they'll make. All you have to do is punch them into the calculator and see what each different pairing will give you.

I'm going to work on making some pieds and some blues. I think they're just beautiful.

Yeah the top show quality are very pricey. I've seen them $8-$10 per egg but $12 is a bit much I think. That's their way of trying to get people to buy their ducks for $75-$100 instead though. They are super cute though. I'm sure I'll have some whites with mine but they won't be the top show quality lines.

Someone offered me $400 for my gun. I MIGHT get blue fawn calls from Holderread's too. I am not getting the TSQ though. I am getting their elite breeder quality or whatever they call them. The ones that have the potential to produce show quality.

OMG, that's sweet, Right now I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to ship a duck, our weather has been horrible cold and we are due some snow in the next few days. I can wait. I actually like the blue bibbed believe it or not. LOL

OK question my grey call has hooked up with one of my butterscotches what colors will they produce??
