Call Ducks Finally Hatched

YEAH IT WORKED THEN. HAHAHAHA

Haha it definitely surprised me!!! I was freaking out until the first one externally pipped enough so that I could see its beak. I was like "uh pointy does NOT equal duck" LOL.

It made sense then though hatching on day 19.

Can't wait to see the calls hatch. I hope all 3 of them make it!

OMG, wouldn't that be great if you ended up with what I had, a mallard, a bibbed and a chocolate. HAHAHA OMG.  WHAT ARE THE ODDS???

Here's to hoping!!! Oh and just a heads up at least the one will need assistance. The air sac was apparently loose, so it is now stretched out long ways along the egg.

Okay everyone cross your fingers. I'm going to the auction today and there WILL be a pair of show quality magpie call ducks!!!! Will it to happen!!! If you believe it they will come!!!! LOL (close enough)

Okay first off I love these chickens. They have fuzzy feet and are adorable. I hope they are hens.

Second off, I need opinions. I am driving to my friends house 4 hours away on Saturday. She has some eggs that are due to hatch the 12th and 17th. She is wanting to give them to me. I have an incubator that will plug into the car, so that's not a problem. My question is, is that safe to do? I've done it with button quail before and they survived but it was only an hours drive not 4. Opinions appreciated.

4 hours WOW, you would have to keep them warm, MAIN thing, Get a heat pack or something to keep them warm until you get them home, the humidity isn't going to be a factor with that just keep them warm until you can get them in a stable situation and then proceed..

My incubator plugs into the car so I can put them straight into my incubator and keep them at the right temp. Just don't want to hurt the little guys!

Well I can't find the Chocolate Bibbed, Sassy didn't do a very good job at watching over him. GRRRRR. Now I'm down to the "magpie wanna a beee". I did find bloody paws behind the coop today so I'm not sure if a cat decided to make himself at home or what But I'm not a HAPPY CAMPER!!

So I had my Jack russel chase it out of the yard. GRRRRRR I'm sure it will be back. Sad part is I think it was one of my cats. GRRRRRRRRRRR
