They do fine. I will put fresh water in the pool before shipping so it is watered good first. Get it to the post office before 8 am. On the third day it will be held at the post office for you. They will call. I just wait untill the open, and they are out of the box sooner.

That is really only 1 day without water. You make sure they drink plenty before taking to the post office (day 1) they are in transit the next day no water. ( day 2) the third day they are at the post office waiting to be picked up that morning, and you give them food and water right away. So they only go one day without. It will be fine. There are little water bowls attached inside of the box so that helps too. No worries. Plus they are actually carefull with the live ducks. They can hear them quacking inside. There is a little windowed they can look into to see the duck.

Thanks! I will have to order some online. I live in a very small town. We only have one grocrey store and tha post office is 15 miles away! Is that good for baby ducks too?

I read that they need naisen. That should be in the duck starter, right? What do you feed your ducks? My breeder said to feed them chicken layer pellits and chicken scratch mixed. Is that good for the adults?

Yes gro gel is good for shipping ducks ducklings etc,

I feed mine chick starter first 2 weeks then I switch them to a mix of chick starter and layer pellets.

Adults get layer pellets, hemp seeds, greens in their water, minnows, crickets and mealworms.

I will look into hemp seed. I like to give them the scratch in the winter because it is high calory, and it helps them cope with the cold winters we have. I hadn't thought of. What I would feed the kids when they get older. Thankyou so much.

I don't spoil them. We have bearded dragons and so tons of crickets and meal worms, I share with the ducks.

Bait shop has minnows for $1.59 a dozen so I grab several dozen once a week.

By the way I heard from the lady Im getting my magpie ducklings from!! She just had two blues hatch out last night!! So I should be getting 4-5 magpies, then she's putting in a couple fillers. Shipping next Monday, whoop!!!
