Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Yeah she taught me that with my first hatching last year. Woo the smell but whatever works lol

I just checked on her and she's about done absorbing what was left. She's moving around like she wants to come out. She's even lifting and moving her little wings now and then like she's flapping lol. I have to leave in about an hour for a class for work but hopefully won't be gone for more than hour. I will check her yolk again before I go.

PLACE HER UPRIGHT, so that the Yolk is Down and she is up, it will help, she will need to chirp while doing this, The chirping is her have contractions its going to be the ONLY way to get her to absorb. GRRr

get a qtip CLEAR AROUND HER NOSE, MAKE SURE SHE IS CLEAR OF ANY GOOK, GET THE ONION very important if you want to try and make it..

now each HOUR, get a qtip, wet it warm water and try to clean her up around her body, her neck if you can get down into where the yolk is clean it, try to get as MUCH of the GOOK OFF, DO THIS EVERY HOUR, DON"T LET HER DRY UP, if ONE of those VEINS DRY up she is NOT GOING TO MAKE IT..

Keep the humidity UP, and keep cleaning her. EVERY HOUR, DON"T MISS ONE HOUR... the TWO HOURS THING DOESN"T NOT APPLY!

You should have giving her MORE TIME.. GRRRRRRRR

So last night I go to lock up all my creatures and I always count my calls, Well Last night I counted 17, I thought hum that's not right, so I looked around just to make sure RECOUNTED, still 17, Counted 10 more times. Still 17

What is going on, so I walk around the yard, nothing nothing in site. So now my job is to see Who's missing?

I THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN QUICKER AND EASIER, IF YOU JUST TOOK A KNIFE AND STABBED ME IN THE HEART!!!

SASSY IS MISSING. OMG, NOOOOOOOOOOO WAYYYYYYY, So I'm calling her, she's my LOUDEST duck and ALWAYS answers back. NOTHING, I GET NOTHING. Now I'm in tears, NOOOOO WAY. just kill me NOW.

So I calmed down, went to bed I figure OK maybe she's hiding and she'll be back in the morning. I went to bed at 5 in the morning, Looked outside STIL NO SASSY, So I let the others out, thinking maybe she's in the coop and I missed her. Counted them as they were coming out, still 17 NO SASSY.

Here's the worst PART of it all. The wanna be magpie that hangs out with her ALL the time, is CALLING HER, he's been calling and calling and calling for her. OMG, JUST BREAK MY HEART noo JUST F***ING SHOOT ME.

WHAT THE HECK DO I DO FOR THE WANNA BEE WHO'S CALLING FOR HER?? OMG, HE'S LIABLE TO NOT SURVIVE LONG SINCE SHE IS GONE.

I cleaned her all up and she should be getting out of that egg anytime now. No rush though I do a little every 20-30 minutes. She peeps and chirps at me each time.

Avoid 20 to 30 minutes an hour is good because it will give her enough time to get back and warm up after being wet from the cleaning job. Give her the hour MISSY!!!!
