Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Just know that all 3 of mine and Lori's died while zipping. They started and then couldn't finish for some reason and died. And it's very quick. Chirping and progressing 1 min and gone the next. Praying all of yours make it.

Yes, 110% TOTALLY normal, Perfect HEALTHY duck, Chirping Like a Son of a gun, then all of a suddenly, in a blink of an eye. BOOM, dead. Its like ***??????

I was sooooo excited to see mine zipping, kept checking on him every 1 1/2 had my timer set because I was cleaning coops, so when the Timer went off, I ran in the house to go check my little guy, After the 4th time. BOOM dead, half his little head was out, I could see his chest in the shell everything looked COMPLETELY fine.

I even did mouth to mouth on mine. LOL I was desparately. I wanted him SOOOOO bad to live..

So as soon as they start zipping, DON"T EVEN HESTIATE, once they zip, it's a 100% for sure it's totally absorbed, So go ahead and get his head OUT. Don't wait like I did, do it IMMEDIATELY...

I'm not sure what the cause is yet, I can guess and say its probably because they are sooo small, they just don't have the energy to complete. But my next batch, I will be sitting very close to the bator watching to see what goes down...

I hope so! My only therorys on this are, dirty eggs ha ha, and maby the ducklings working too hard to get out, leaving them to weak to go on. I am sure neither hold any merrit at this time. I think the addiction comes on from hatching difficulties and human nature (refusal to take defeat as a answer).

I got 28 more call duck eggs last night. What am I going to do with them? My incubator will only fit maybe 10 more. I got them purely by accident and they were free so how could I turn that down? Can call eggs be stacked in the bator for a week until some space is freed up?

Stacked on top of each other? If you are really careful I don't see why not, broody mommas stack them on top of each other.
