Mine runs about that too. Maybe a little lower, 30%? But roughly that no lower.
I don't know what's going on with them. Maybe the misting. The first batches I did I was real adamant about it but the last few I've done were only a few and were together with the chickens so I wasn't so on top of it. These 2 I did not mist at all during incubation. I have about 20 in now and haven't misted them either. Maybe I should rearrange and start misting again :/
I hope all of yours hatch for you but you don't have to give them to me. You did all the work and you deserve them.

I'm misting mine and apparently so far it's working. I have the two that are due this Friday and they look really good, I misted them three times a day. With the exception of today because the electric went out. Grrrr, I can't stand electric companies., they screw up everything I wonder how they would feel if I sent them a bill for every hatching I lost because of there power outage...
My humidity has gone down to 16% now I try to keep it at around 20 to 30 because when I kept it at 16% they got sticky?? Not sure what the heck that was about.. But now that I have it up a little higher plus the misting, it seems like they are able to lose the water they need too. But will see once hatching time comes for all of them..
My chicken eggs don't seem to mine all this going on. Lol, I hatched out the cutest Phoenix. I would say the cutest little Phoenix but this guy is bigger then my paint silkies that are two weeks old. Lol
That could be it. I dry incubate first 7 days, then most 3 times a day after that all the way up to lockdown.
I wouldn't mind giving you a couple if you don't figure it out soon. I know how frustrating it can be![]()
I'm going to have to try going back to the misting 3 times a day to see if I have better luck. Any signs of life yet in the other eggs I piggy backed to you?
That's so cool on the pheonix. I have a pair of bantams and just hatched out one of their babies this past weekend. What a cute tiny thing lol. 1 of my silkies and 1 of my cochin bantams went broody so I stuffed a bunch of bantam eggs and 1 call egg under them. I have not misted the call egg under my cochin but our humidity is crazy high here so hopefully it will be ok. We'll see in another couple weeks. My silkie is the tiniest little thing and she is sitting on 9 eggs lol. No idea how many my cochin is sitting on lol. I'm down to only about 80 eggs in the incubators so I think I'm doing pretty good with my hatching disease right now lol. I have about 35 or so babies in the brooders to keep me occupied for the moment lol.
Yeah, I've always misted too until the last few batches. Thought I would try it without but obviously not working lol. Definitely frustrating but I'm the one who changed what wasn't broken lol
That pretty little bugger is a rowdy little duck! It was pulling feathers out of my indie duckling. I had to put it in with Jamie my week old duckling. I suspect it may be a boy! I hope it doesn't start cross dressing! That's what you think what do u think that little Duckie was doing in that shell?? That's right putting on make up. Probably should be a little concerned if it's a boy hahahhahaha
