Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Ok, staying calm. Staying calm. Maybe I need to do some of that zen stuff. Or like herbal tea or something. When I was in boyscouts we used to make tea out of hemlock needles. It was pretty good. Though it made the cup sticky with sap.

No, no emu eggs in that bator.... yet. Working as fast as I can at making a fridge bator. My dad is an engineer and when he gets off of work he normally comes over and helps. Don't know a lot about wiring stuff. Guess that is evident with me shocking myself. Lol.

Yeah she really is great. She isn't really fond of all my duck stuff. But she is supportive. She nearly had a heart attack when she came to get emu eggs with me and saw the size of the birds. It came over and pecked at her ring and she screamed and stood outside the pen the whole time. I hatching out two emu eggs hopefully. If both hatch one will be for meat and one will be for a pet.

OK good, because you will have another sticky issue if they were. so the little guy is all by himself? THAT'S THE BEST THING FOR HIM, for right now

LOL, I like to time my hatchings so that the day they are due, it's a Friday, this way I have ALL weekend to help. LOL that's just me though..

I would try with my emus... but the time it takes hatch are between 55 and 60 so a 5 day intermediate period. With my fridge bator there will be a hatcher section so I can do different birds and different all sort of things. It will also have turners that will allow eggs to go sideways. It also will be adjustable to be able to hold different sized eggs. Have been planning this for about 2 years so its good to put it in place now.
