I hadnt thought of that. I had planned on keeping the one I like more with me so it bonds to me and putting the other emu (the one for meat) with my ducks in my aviary until large enough to go into the big pen with the bonded emu. I have plenty of room! like 300 acres ( me and my uncle share that, My uncle uses most) My uncle keeps 4 cows and 4 pigs in his huge barn and it could fit like 50 dairy cows when it was used as a dairy farm. Also, raising two emus together and then butchering one for meat? Won't the second one be lonely and maladjusted if you take away its companion? And is there even room on your property for such big birds??
