Call Ducks Finally Hatched

We'll see! But first I gotta receive the eggs, hope they're not all broken, then hope the ones that aren't hatch, THEN hope that one of them is a girl....that's a lot of hopin' I gotta do. ;;

I am on it! Got a chocolate egg last night, none today. Hopefully I get some tomorrow. My chocolate girl sure is not following ANY schedule. She just pops out eggs randomly whenever she wants. lol. I will have to wait for her to lay some days in a row before I send you any eggs so that they are the freshest and actually have a chance at hatching.

My chocolates are "pure colors" and I believe wobbles is a "pure color" so I guess all you get are chocolate bibbed :(. But on the other hand I have a silver call duck who carries the magpie gene who crossed with the chocolate could very well get some chocolate magpies. Hum, maybe in the future I will have to try that....

Fingers crossed for pieds for Amykins but if both are pure they will only produce BLACK bibbed.

Duck eggs usually ship very well. Much better then chicken eggs in my experience.

Winnie my Snowy Call drake and Pippa my Grey Call drake!

So, here's my question - I live in Alabama and the temperature is going down to around 25 degrees tonight. We're also about to have an ice possible snow storm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Will her first little egg be okay outside in this weather or should I bring it inside and give her an Easter egg until the weather warms back up? I'm not incubating her eggs, I'm letting her hatch her babies!

I don't have Calls but I can tell you from experience any egg left out in temps below freezing will most likely freeze and split open. Congrats on the first egg!
