Call Ducks Finally Hatched

They had bite her right in the beak apparently more than just once. that's how she's got the hole and that's how she damage the bottom beak, of course, I didn't know about the bottom beak until a day later because I thought the only damage was the top beak.

But when she's looking at me and trying yap and nothing but that bottom beak is flapping at you in three different places, you freak out and think S*it how am I going to fix this.. So I improvised..

Oh, thank you AmandaVirginia. They are a pair but she is not into him at all. He wants to mate and she hisses at him and chases him off. Her egg laying the first year I had her was sparse and now it's non existent and she's only 3 years old. They are an odd pair. In the cage at night they sleep separately but during the day when I am home I let them free range in the house and they are always together. Birds….. This is the male, Jibby. He is the size of a nuthatch and weighs only about 13 oz. poor picture here but the bottom bird that you can barely see is Little Bit, the hen. I've had to separate them because they'd fight. Like I said, ODD!! Thank you for your interest and curiosity, AmandaVirginia.
Lol, that's hilarious he tries to mate with her and she just hisses him away! Well, odd couple or not, they're still super cute together! :)
Once they grow the air cells will stick, but if you are seeing water? we must see a pic, that could be an issue. He could be retaining to much water.
I'm not going to candle again until Wednesday, I will get a picture then! I think the more he or she grows, the more settled and less liquidy he or she appears!
I have a Styrofoam, Mine is a Hoover... I love it, always does very well for me.
Yes! I love mine and it does very well for me also! It's never failed me! I highly recommend it!

it was sad becuase we had been meaning to get her a bunny friend but she never did

I'm sorry for your loss, hun. Losing a furry friend is never easy and I know you loved her very much. I know rabbits bond very strongly with their owners, too. Even if they are bucktoothed, long-eared spawns of satan to everyone else.
