Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Incubator is heating up to 99.5, but it for some reason came with a fan, I don't know how to use the fan? Does it just turn on randomly? What's the required humidity?
Incubators with fans should run at 99.5
Incubators without fans should run at 102

Here are some notes I put together:

  • Day zero is the day you set your eggs and day one is 24 hours later.
  • Run incubator empty for a day or more to be sure you have the settings dialed in.
  • Still air (no fan) incubators should be set at ~102° F.
  • Forced air (fan) incubators should be set at ~99.5° F.
  • Your incubator should be placed in a room without drafts and without huge temperature swings.
  • Eggs should be placed fat end up or on their sides.
  • Thoroughly clean incubators, hatchers and brooders between uses!
  • Incubate normal looking eggs.
  • Incubate fairly clean eggs.
  • Wash hands before handling eggs.
  • Invest in a proper candler or bright flashlight.
  • Use distilled water.
  • Use multiple thermometers to double check temps.

I'm sure there are other things, but those were what came to mind.

If it is a little giant, this video might be helpful:

But can't say for sure, 'cause I didn't watch it due to our slow internet and no sound on this computer.

It wasn't supposed to come with a fan, but it looks like it. Can you hear the fan when you turn it on? Because I can't hear it, if it's on. Tha thermometer I have at my house can't read anything so I need to go get a manual one of something. So far the incubator reads 98.7-99.8 at different times, I'll set it to 102F since it's supposedly a still air.

The eggs should be here at 3:00.

The bator is in my room, should I move it into my closet???
