Call Ducks Finally Hatched

You need to bring them. I can't leave home right now because I have ducks to look after, plus I told the hubby I'd make dinner every night this week. It would work out a lot better for both of us if you come here instead.

Well since you lost yours while you were here, alls I can say is THANK YOU. I GOT HIM.. lol, he's not lost anymore.. hahahahhahaha

It looks like a blue fawn to me. I'd love to see a pic of it in really good light. I can send you some pics of blue fawns we got this year so you can compare. Sometimes any of the ones with wild pattern are hard to pinpoint if they aren't in good light because the coloring is so similar.

Once they all dry up I will send more pics, I seem to be getting a LOT of BLUES this year, I got two Blue pieds, One blue Bibbed, possibly this blue fawn, a LOT OF BLUES.

Guess they all know it's my favorite color.. LOL

They all came from my two girls, you see they were first time mommies and they had quit on me, they only had one week left. GRRR. The crazy thing is I forgot to lock them down. AHHHHHH but with my humidity being soo high in my room, we didn't have a hatching issue at all.; LOL so everything worked out.

The Lighter colors came from my snowy, she had a total of 6 eggs if I recall and only two were good, the rest I had to throw out, they just got rotten.

Now the Dark group came from my Bibbed, she did much better, she had 8 eggs and I only had to throw one out because it went bad. What's odd, is her kids some look like greys and yet she's a bibbed and her mate is a bibbed..??? how does that work? She actually had TWO male Bibbed right by her side....

So How did are the kids GREY, is a HUGE mystery, Perhaps MINIHORSE can help me with that one??????? I would think they all would be Bibbed and out of the 7 Only Two are bibbed...
Did you get any Snowys from the Snowy one? I can't tell in the pics. The Snowy I got from you was the sweetest duck I've ever had.

As far as the bib part, bibs aren't always dominant. Are you pairing yours for matings now? I remember you used to let them free range.

They pair themselves. ALl of them are in there own separate groups, they are free ranging but they do not hang out with each other, in fact the two bibbed hang out in the front yard, the snowy, white and three male friends hang out on the side of the house etc. I even have a pair that will hang out at the neighbors house. Once I let them out in the morning they all take there spots and hang out in that spot all day long with there mates. I have no clue why they don't hang out with each other but they don't. The only time they are together now is at night when I lock them up, usually there's no activity going on inside the coop. THEY even split up in the COOP. LOL..

I think there was some unauthorized twangling going on when you weren't watching.

You got a snowy from me? WHERE? Wheres the pic????

Wow Lacrystol.  Awesome.  They are so cute.  Can you hold them now?  I just love their round little heads.

I just realized the blue fawn in the third pic looks exactly like a duckling I lost when I was in Ohio last weekend. Coincidence? I think not, but she'd have to send it to me so I can see it in person to be sure.
