She ends up with every duckling I lose in Ohio then doesn't want to give them back. I usually let her keep them though, cause she's my buddy. I'll probably let her keep these as well since I have to get rid of a bunch of ducks already. I'm just a sucker for the littles though, and we don't have any of those right now. One in lockdown, but it doesn't look likely that one is going to make it.

Speaking of a few too many feathered friends...

We finally finished the grading this morning so I can get these posted. If any of you know anyone in the tri-state area who might want Calls, please let them know. I'm considering posting them here on BYC as well, but not sure what good that will do since there don't seem to be many duck people in this area.

Here's my gray call drake that had the slipped wing, just like his dad, because i am an expert in fixing angel wing, no one would ever know he was once severely angel winged, i really don't think it would be ethical to sell him without letting the buyer know that he was once angel winged before i fixed it. Just in case it's hereditary. I may be an expert in fixing angel wing, but how would i know that somebody would know how to fix angel wing if they bought him and then raised angel winged ducklings? Wouldn't i be a dushonest person if i didn't tell them that he and his father were bother angel winged, until i fixed him? This drake is the one who is the gray call in my avatar.

What I do with buyers is to explain proper care and feeding for ducks. Mine are already adults when they're sold. All my buyers have my phone number, which I tell them they're free to use if they have questions about any of their ducks regardless whether they bought them from me.

It's fine for you to tell them a duck/drake had an early wing disorder just so they're aware, but those usually aren't genetic. They typically come from dietary and exercise issues. A parent having a wing disorder doesn't necessarily mean the offspring will if it's correctly fed and exercised.

heehee, I wish. If I had the means as in a house and yard I'd go for 2 in a heartbeat.

Gina i want one so bad !!! I would so gladly take a white male or a blue fawn male . if you ship eggs i would be happy to order some next year.

Buff, I love you dearly and would be happy, overjoyed, to see any of them go to you, but you have to remember that I'm at least 16 hours away from you one way, and I don't ship. You'd be looking at at least a 3 day trip to get any of mine. I do have a couple of drakes I'm really struggling with letting go, but neither of them are worth 32 hours on the road unless you have a lot of road trip time on your hands.
