Mixed? meaning they are all together so I could end up with ANYTHING?? I love those kinds because it's always a SURPRISE on what comes out..

Came back from the beach a couple weeks ago to find Winter had made a nest and laid seven eggs in it! I've never even seen her & Cal mate! Well, I officially have a broody! All day today was her first full day on her massive nest of twelve eggs! I'm going to candle on either Thursday or Friday to see if they are fertile! I cannot believe my seriously domesticated house duck that wore diapers her first full year of life is sitting on a nest of twelve eggs! I'm so proud of her! Praying to have little Winter's in less than a month! :love

Here we go again. My flying mallard type hen started laying again after summer molt. I incubated dozens of her eggs this spring anf summer, not a single one fertile because the little call drakes that I have can't get the job done on a gal who walks around with them on her back while they are trying to do the deed. But ever hopeful that one of the spotted call drakes finally got the job done.

So, as all of you know, a month ago I had just come home from the beach and found Winter on a nest of 12... I had no idea, she hid her eggs so well, and being excited was an understatement. Unfortunately all 12 were infertile :hit

Well, I'm going back to the beach tomorrow and today was **day 4** for Winter on her brand new nest of 9! SEVEN of the 9 have sweet growing babies inside them! My seriously domesticated diaper wearing house duck is going to be a MOMMA in three weeks! :love
