Busy around here. Got my chicks outside finally for the day. They were terrified at first but decided laying in the sun was actually a good thing. They are growing fast.

Weeding, and cleaning house. Go, go, go.

I would leave that naughty drake locked up while the girls go out Shannon. I currently am not letting my turkeys out as the hens all hide in the grass to lay.

Definitely he is staying in because the Hens stay home. He really thinks he is a Casanova......Wind was blowing too so when I quacked I faintly heard them I thought and Lucy did go looking in the direction they came from eventually..I have to trust the Dog more..I went back around and then Penelope came flying into the yard..

CooL about your Birds. I'll be putting these guys out in a look no touch next week and the next week they will be off heat and in my Coop...

Mine won't go out to their respective coops for a few weeks yet until I can tell boys from girls.

No, but I did hatch out 8 bantams, so besides the 2 bantam roosters I ordered, I have to see how many of them are boys. They will go with the bugs out to the shed, and bantam pullets will go to the bantam coop.

Holy crap.....Humidity too high I think...That sucks...

Zipped 3/4 of the way and was face down when I picked him up. There was membrane over his nostrils and a foot over his head. I think he got stuck and tired on top of all of it.
No more eggs until next year. I’ll pack away the incubator and see how I feel about it next year.

@TwoCrows how old do my quail chicks need to be before putting them in with my adults, and is the integration process the same as with chickens?
