They definitely can get down..They will jump.

My husband said they were squawking at the chickens. Lol They weren't when I went out to take pics. He might have been picking on me.

I got lucky this time around, getting only one drake for my flock of four. Han Solo has the potential for a great male.
On the other hand though, I have 4 roosters. I have 12 hens. THe roosters are all bantam, a Silkie, a Serama, and two D’Uccles. They don’t cause much trouble, and the serama is basically invisible. Napoleon on the oth r hand, one of the D’uccles ( the other d Uccle is his son)
Is a real jerk. He treats the hens fine, but attacks any human he sees fit, including a one year old, and drew blood. He even went after our German Shepherd once. It’s a good thing Chase is old and lazy, or that rooster would have gotten ripped apart like the old days. I don’t even know why I keep him, besides I like his name ( bad reason)
I want to get rid of his cockerel son Edmond, who is sweet for now, I just don’t need him. But finding a home besides someone who will put hi in their freezer has proven difficult

I think I am skipping the Jersey giant. The person said he was hard on the 4 they have for him (due to being separated) and so I don't want him to be stressing my girls out.

Yes, definitely won't be good. Always a reason for people getting rid of Roosters and generally not good reasons either...

Only time Lester scared me good was when I carried an orange pail instead of the grey one and he jumped it..
I was scared because he beat up the pail..
