Here are some up close pics of the extension. Looks like a baby carriage. At first, I didn't have hw cloth all around. Just a week or so after we added it, my in-laws dogs came down and one terrorized the chickens. I then added hw cloth to the whole thing and eventually the catte panels around (courtesy of my fil since he had absent mindedly forgotten about the chickens and left the dogs when he came to check on some farm fencing. )

That's great...Like I said before, Birds do not care what they live in as long as they are happy..That's a good extension..

Yes, this is the last time I order if it turns out that way again?....All I need is 4 or 5 Pullets....Might keep a Speckled Sussex Cockerel too?...

My husband thought of it. Of couse he is the one that convinced me it didnt need hw cloth all around since they would be locked up at night.

Or is that what you mean?

They have access to the attached run, but they are just staying in the henhouse at the moment.

Is that all the snow so far?...You can let them out in that..It's only you that will need to dress up...
Let them out for an hour...

I’ll let them out after I drop my little sister off at school (she woke up late).

That’s a really nice extension. I like how you can lift up that door. I have to go through the lumber I have in the garage and see how much I need to buy. My dad wants to make the run out of 2x4s cut in half lengthwise to make the panels lighter. But I don’t know if they will be able to support the roosts that I will be putting in the run. The only good thing that came out of this past Nor Eastern was that I got a lot of really good sized branches from some downed tree limbs.

I’ll see if they even want to come out. I’ll let them out and if they stay out I’ll stay out with them and if they go back in then I won’t force them to forage.
