i got mine from duckluck , shes in this forum... she has very good bloodlines as she hatches, raises, and shows her calls. ( and won ) . when I got mine I told her I only wanted pets and if they were not top of the line that was okay... Ive never really asked her anything about that part ??!!!

Duckluck does have beautiful Calls. I got the most adorable Butterscotch pair from her a month or so ago and they have wonderful personalities as well.
I'm getting eggs from her in the spring as well-told her to put me on top of her list!
Your duckies are beautiful, Hattie!

I almost forgot I had this photo of my babies!!!!

I am new to call ducks myself. We picked up 2 pair of Butterscotch from Charley Hodum. And just picked 6 more up 3 days ago, the guy bought them from Grubbs Waterfowl 3 months ago and decided to sell them, his kids were not interested in them
They are soo cute. I took a few pictures yesterday

Two that I picked up Friday.. male and female and have a second female that does not have the ring. The breeder of my guys wins awards at all the poultry shows but we just have them because they are so cute.

Some place on this site I saw a thread where someone had used masonry tubs with drains installed in their call duck pens. So credit goes to that person whoever they may be. I liked the set up so much, I did the same and the ducks love it!

This thread has spawned some good ideas and the pens above prove it. now if we can collect the wast water through a two inch pipe and send it to a large 55 gall. drum and use this water on our gardens we will have great organic duck tea for our vegees. Nice ducks by the way. They look like they are in heven. What kind of drain or where did you get it or how much did you invest in this system.????? bob

Yep, they're from show lines...my whites at the time were mostly Hodum lines with a pair of whites from Foley's line of Lundgren whites in there too. Grays were from Foley's with a pair of LaGesse grays, and I had a self-black Foley male and a Gregory line self-black female in the mix. At the time I had no breeding pens set up so all 16 ducks were running together. Hattiegun came and got some of the early ducklings from this group. Incidentally, I also retained a few ducklings from these early groups of ducklings as personal pets and they have done very well at the shows too.

Do you know my husband still bugs me about those spotted babies?

159 ducklings later and he still misses those two! Keeps saying he wants me to breed more! We have breeding pens now and I keep telling him we want pure colored babies, but I may have to cave sometime and give him his spotted duckling! Someone I show with has a Call who is shown as a Spot but is getting a blush to her head like a Snowy female that hasn't quite colored up all the way...I have thought of asking him if I could buy it just to keep the husband happy and not have to mix ducks up again, but I doubt he would sell it because it is truly a wonderful duck to look at, like your babies are!
